In Prison

RTA members become role models for other men and women in prison and are recognized by administration and correction officers. They boost morale and make the prison safer.


“You would just never know that our peers, who are incarcerated, were capable of doing such wonderful things. I watched, and thought, ‘If she can do that, in spite of all that she’s gone through, and still see that life has a beautiful meaning, I am going to do what she does.'

And though it seems impossible, their experience of joy, laughter, humor and playfulness - even in their grim circumstances - shows that their circumstances do not define them.
